Immigrant Women’s Small Business Expo – Ottawa
September 30, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Mission: To showcase resources and business opportunities available to the immigrant community.
Vision: Creating a collaborative community that nourishes the entrepreneurial spirit.
The 1-day conference is to bring together successful women and immigrants to reflect on their achievements over the years and to encourage new women and immigrants in exploring entrepreneurship and developing businesses. The conference will focus on topics such as women and mothers in the workforce, the impact the increase in minimum wage has on both the immigrant worker and business owner, and provide the necessary tools and the voice needed to help women and immigrants succeed in business across Canada.
Women and immigrant small business owners represent a significant part of the Canadian economy.
This event will be held at Ottawa City Hall on September 30, 2018 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in Toronto. This year, we are proud to present our key panel representing a very important topic:
• Minimum Wage and the Impact on Immigrant Business Owners
In attendance will be Immigrant Women, Small Businesses, Entrepreneurs and Students. Our event is a platform for the immigrant community to network; get valuable information through seminars and workshops, increased business exposure and great advice from industry leaders and representatives.
